The Boston College English Department seeks to hire an Assistant Professor of the Practice who will also serve as the Director of the Writing Center. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track position with a three-year renewable contract. The teaching load is 3/3, with one course release each semester for the director responsibilities. Teaching focuses on a writing center course for undergraduate consultants, the first-year writing seminar, and can include an introductory course for all undergraduates called Literature Core.

Applications must be received by October 10, 2024. Dossiers should include a cover letter, CV, three letters of recommendation, and a brief teaching philosophy (no more than one single-spaced page). PhD is required.
