TENURE-TRACK POSITION in FRENCH/ARABIC

The Department of Modern Languages invites applications for a tenure-track position in French. Candidates must have the ability to teach a second language other than Spanish, with preference given to Arabic. We seek a dynamic and promising teacher and scholar who will invigorate our existing program in innovative ways. Candidates must have a Ph.D., a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, to scholarly research, and to departmental and college service. We are especially interested in faculty who are able to support and encourage students of color and first-generation students. As a college rooted in the worldwide, evangelical Protestant Christian tradition, Westmont seeks candidates personally committed to this heritage.

Modern Language faculty teach six four-unit courses per year (lower and upper-division), advise students, and contribute to departmental growth and development.

Use this link to access the application. Questions may be addressed to Dr. Leonor Elias, chair of Modern Languages, at elias@westmont.edu. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
