The Department of German and Scandinavian at the University of Oregon invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the School of Global Studies and Languages, starting in Fall 2025. We seek a colleague who specializes in Environmental Humanities, with a primary linguistic and cultural focus on German within a transnational context. Additional expertise in a Scandinavian language and culture, or another language and culture, would be welcome. Interest in climate politics or technology would also be a plus. Candidates must have a PhD in German or a related discipline by the time of appointment.
