Assistant Professor in Spanish with a specialization in Translation or Professional Spanish

The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Texas State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Spanish with a focus on translation and/or professional Spanish. Applicants will have the Ph.D in Spanish, Spanish Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, or a comparable field in hand by August 1st 2025, have native or near-native command of Spanish and English, and should have demonstrated teaching experience in Spanish at the university level. Applicants should have a strong commitment to teaching, scholarly research, and collegial service. Preferred qualifications include: experience with translation, linguistics, applied linguistics, Digital Humanities, UX, and/or AI.
