The Department of Asian Languages & Cultures seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Korean Studies to begin in August 2025.
The successful candidate will conduct service, teach courses, and participate in service. Candidates for this position must have expertise in the humanities or qualitative social sciences with a specialization in Korean Studies and be fluent in Korean. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level, including a commitment to teaching large-enrollment and thematically broad undergraduate courses. Candidates for the position must show potential for developing outstanding and highly visible scholarly research focused on Korean Studies. A Ph.D. in Asian Studies or related field with a specialization in Korean Studies is required and the degree should be in hand by the start of the appointment.
