Millikin University’s School of Writing, Languages & Cultures invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor to teach courses for our English major and modern languages program, beginning August 2025.
Candidates will teach four courses per semester. The teaching load will include teaching all levels of undergraduate Spanish courses and relevant multicultural, international, and/or global literature courses. In addition to teaching, faculty will be expected to advise and mentor students pursuing the Spanish minor; publish scholarly and/or creative work; and engage in university service.
A PhD in comparative literature, Hispanic or Latin American literature and culture, or a closely related degree is required for this tenure-track position. Native or near native command of Spanish is required.
Millikin University is a private, comprehensive institution serving approximately 1,800 undergraduate, graduate, full-time and part-time students who study in four colleges/schools: Arts and Sciences, Business, Fine Arts and Professional Studies.
