The English, Literature and World Languages Department at Ferris State University seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of English Education to teach English language arts K-12 education content courses and other upper- and lower-level writing, literature, and/or language studies courses. Preference given to candidates with English language arts K-12 teaching experience; and/or expertise in children’s/young adult literature, linguistics/literacy studies, diverse literatures, or developmental writing. Position start date: August 2025
Required Education: Ph.D. in English, rhetoric and composition, literature, linguistics, or a related field required by August 1, 2025.
Required Work Experience: Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching college-level writing.
