Instructor of Russian

The School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (SLLC) at the University of Missouri-Columbia invites applications for one full-time, Instructor in Russian beginning in Fall 2025. This is a one-year position with the possibility of annual renewals.

Teaching responsibilities include 1st-3rd year Russian language; other courses may include Russian, East European, or Central Asian culture or film, depending on candidate’s strengths and departmental need. An MA in Russian is required by the time of appointment. Native or near-native fluency in Russian and English is also required. Candidates will be evaluated on their experience and success teaching both in person and online. Candidates with a PhD in Russian are highly encouraged to apply.
